How to size
How to size your nails
For the best fit, I highly recommend ordering a sizing kit. You will receive one nail of each size in your chosen length and shape. The tips you receive are the exact tips I will use to create your set. This ensures the most accurate fit which will give you the best chance of long term wear and more natural looking nails.
Sizing Kit:
Sizing kits are the best way to ensure more accurate measurements for your custom sizing.
-
Start by pushing back the cuticle
-
Place the blank nail on your natural nail. The best fit will cover from side wall to side wall and not require too much pressure to have contact with the natural nail. If you let the nail go and it pops off with a bit of force, this will usually mean it is too small. Try the next size up.
-
Measure each nail and both hands
-
If you find you are between sizes, choose the bigger size. You can file the edges down to fit.
-
Sizing kits include a discount code to go towards your first order.
Alternatively,
At home measure using a soft measuring tape:
You can use a soft measuring tape and measure across the widest part of each nail (tip: this is normally a few millimetres down from where the free edge meets the nail bed). Write down each nails measurement in mm and add these to the notes section when ordering, going from left to right and thumb to pinky.
Â
At home measure using clear sticky tape:
1. Using clear tape, place on your natural nail and press down into the side walls to create a crease.
2. Draw a line at the widest point for both sidewalls (tip: this is normally a few millimetres down from where the free edge meets the nail bed)
3. Remove tape and stick to a flat surface
4. Measure the distance between the two lines in mm
5. Add the measurements to the notes section when ordering, going from left to right and thumb to pinky.
Â
The risk with measuring at home and not using a sizing kit is that tape doesn’t measure the c-curve of the nail. Some nails have a naturally deep c-curve, and some nails have a flatter c-curve. Flatter nails may require a bigger sized nail to have maximum contact between the press-on and the natural nail.
